The kids and I have gotten quite a few postcards lately that we wanted to share with you. Oh my gosh...what a week!   I know I am normally busy, but this past week was just something else! We had 3 football games, 4 football practices, 2 Back to School Nights,  2 soccer practices, 1 soccer game thrown in with the normal hectic schedule. Everyone here at These Nine Acres will be laboring on this Labor Day instead of  BBQing, picnicking, or swimming. Ty has football practice, I have a ton of work to get ready to be displayed in a local store, and there still remains days of clean up outside in the aftermath of the hurricane. Even T1 and T2 have been helping out by picking up branches and putting them into piles.

I am having tons of fun photographing my son's high school football team. He still has a huge learning curve to overcome, but I am proud of the progress he is making. He has discovered that he really likes defense. He is tall and fast so the corner position,  covering receivers and cutting off the outside run,  has been good for him. As I said yesterday,  when visiting my parents in Virginia, we went to see the Lynchburg Hillcats. The theme that night was 80's night,  so in between innings they would do audience participation games and the prizes would be VHS tapes of popular 80's movies. Clematis Hosta Mine grows wild and free with lots of help from the bees!I had to do macro shots of the garden...otherwise you would see the weeds that I have not had time to attend to.:)Oh well,it will all get done one day.The bees don't seem to mind.
