Sometimes I am very envious of the snail.
He's never in a hurry,
he can hide away anytime the mood for solitude strikes him,
and no matter where he is, he is always home.
He is a very patient creature and enjoys life at a slow pace.
Me, on the other hand,
not so much.
My parents, I am sure, tried their hardest
to instill the virtue of patience in me as I grew up.
But somehow I was always the type A,
go-gettum, kinda girl who didn't like to sit back and wait on anything.
So, as I am waiting for word about whether or not
my work will hang in the gallery,
I am waiting *not so patiently*
and hoping that Jean Jacques Rousseau
was correct when he said,
"Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet."
Still, a week later, waiting for the decision from the gallery's jury.
What shall I do to pass the time?

I love that photo! We live in a brick house, which the snails love! I just read that you got some good news, so your waiting is over! Yay!
