| Knowing What To Throw Away Boaters at the end of the day in Havre de Grace, Maryland |
of the lyrics from The Gambler:
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done
Now every gambler knows the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done
Now every gambler knows the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep
I apologize for not posting frequently this week.
It has been busy and difficult.
Sickness has stomped its way through the house
and I have been focused on finalizing my
portfolio to submit to the gallery,
which I did yesterday.
I have designed and received my new business cards
and
I began constructing my new website!
I can't wait to get that up and running to share with you all.
Thank you so, so much to all of you
who have left comments,
privately emailed me,
facebook messaged me,
and called me
in support of my new ventures.
I couldn't do it without all of your love and support.
It is amazing how you find out who your true friends and supporters are
at times of great difficulty and also at times of great joy.
Have you ever experienced a time when you were successful
and people you thought were friends became
jealous and distant?
I wonder why that is?

Good luck with everything! I'm always excited to hear what's going on with you, even if I have to wait!
ReplyDeleteThank, Tammy. You have been such a supportive friend for a long, long time!
DeleteThis is another great shot. Congrats on getting your portfolio submitted and I hope that you are all feeling better by now.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been out and about lately. When were you in HdeG?!
ReplyDeleteHavre de Grace is so pretty. I always forget about that place. Love this shot!!
ReplyDeleteSorry ya'll were feeling bad. A friend told me that kids were germ factories. They catch everything.....
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why I haven't been sick so far. No kids.
