than a kid and a puppy?
T1, an animal lover,
had the chance to be introduced to our babysitter's
new, adorable puppy this weekend.
The entire time we were visiting with neighbors
this New Year's Day,
T1 could be found side by side with this little pup, Bailey.
It didn't take long before T1 was curled up
snug and warm in a sunbeam
with the cute little bundle of fur.
Poor Bailey was trying so hard to nap
and T1 would have none of it.
She kept petting and petting and petting.
Bailey finally was so exhausted that she fell asleep anyway
even with little preschooler hands groping her!
Part of what I missed about having preschoolers was
the excitement they see in all the little things in life.
My teens have lost that for the most part and
it is so refreshing to be reminded that we all should,
no matter our age,
take some time out to enjoy the little things in life
that bring us joy.

Such good words to start the new year!
ReplyDeleteUh-oh, playing with puppies is sooooo dangerous. I try to keep my kids away from cute cuddly puppies as much as possible. I also delete emails seeking homes for sweet, unloved dogs before they see them. 4 dogs is enough for this household---especially since all of them are old enough to sleep late in the morning and never mess in the house :)

I'm not sure who is cuter .. I see pleas for a puppy in your future ..
ReplyDeleteThat second picture was a heart melter. She would get along so well with Mabes. Someday we are going to have to plan a getaway to see one another. =)
ReplyDeleteIt could only get cuter with a baby kitten in there too. Absolutely adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, weeeee!
