If I Can Dream It

Hoping everyone is enjoying a beautiful weekend!

It has been a nice quiet weekend here.

Things finally feel back to normal after the holidays,

although I am embarrassed to admit our Christmas is still up.

This is the longest we have EVER had a tree up.

More than one factor is the cause for that, though.

Normally I take the tree down between Christmas and New Years,

however we were supposed to host family for a Christmas celebration

the Monday after Christmas.

Due to illness, that get-together got pushed back

to the Monday after New Years.

I wanted to keep the Christmas feel for that get-together, so I left up the tree.

Shortly after that get together we got so busy on the weekends 

that we didn't have a chance to take it down.

Then, when we finally had time last weekend

we got sick...

*sigh*

So, last night I told everyone at dinner that the tree was 

for sure, 100%, no excuses coming down TODAY.

And the twins practically cried.

They LOVE having the tree up and take turns turning on the lights

when they get up in the morning.

They begged me to keep it up.

But you know what?

I can't take it anymore!  

While I do love it and it is beautiful,

I need my house back to normal!

So, today the tree is coming down,

laundry will be finished,

AND

the Ravens will win the playoff game.

If I can dream it, it can happen, right?
