Top Twenty Things I Learned at Blogfest

I just returned from the 2010 Blogfest
in Mathews County, Virginia.
Here are 20 things I learned while there:

1.  Wine is a food group.
2.  While boating, hold on to your hat or it will go in the creek.
3.  Cornfields make good bathrooms.
4.  During karaoke you discover you have been singing the wrong words all these years.
5.  Chips and salsa are amazing for breakfast.
6.  Sleep?  Who needs sleep?
7. When everyone sweats, no one knows who stinks.
8.  Cats don't like to be trapped under a hot tub.
9.  Scallops should be cooked.
10.  West Coasters are not familiar with cicadas or lightening bugs.
11.  Men who say camping mats are comfortable don't have hips or a butt.
12.  When singing into a microphone, the sound travels for miles across the water.
13.  I am geographically and directionally challenged.
14.  Krystal Ball, a real person, is running for Congress.  She sees the future, apparently.
15.  Tinkerbell magic wands heal everything.
16.  Ticks can get in some very uncomfortable places.
17.  Don't do anything you will regret or it will FOR SURE show up on a Facebook video.
18.  Bloggers, even at Blogfest, can't stay away from their laptops.
19.  It IS possible for food to give one a "Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally" moment.

and the best thing I learned:

20.  It is possible to meet complete strangers and in 48 hours feel like you have a new family.

Thank you ladies, for the best time!
I miss you already!
Can't wait for next year.

xoxo

  8. It was absolutely wonderful having you join our crazy group. You're close enough that we don't have to wait until next year. We'll have to plan a mini-reunion for the fall.

  15. Diane is apparently a cider slut who tells EVERYONE she loves them. I have been duped by her burpy trickery. Why couldn't Krystal Ball tell me about THAT?? I, for one, will NOT be voting for her.

  16. Cornfield bathrooms?

You were born to be a Blister! xo

  17. This list could not have captured BlogFest better. Having a homesick moment for the home I may have been meant to have but am destined to visit only in memories.

    But WHAT MEMORIES! : )

Love to you, Miss Tracey. <3

  18. Ok. I am so curious. Is this blogfest happening again and will it be in Mathews County??? I. want. to. go.

My mom found your blog and passed it onto me because my family is moving to Mathews County. I've enjoying reading when I can. You are an awesome photographer.
