A Break In the Clouds

A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers but borrowed from his children.

Life: I just bought a Blackberry last night, as you may have been able to tell from the post right before this one. That post was a test post to see if I could figure out how to post from my new toy. It is addicting, for sure! It will come in handy during vacation so I can keep everyone up to date on what we are doing and seeing in Maine!

On a different note, I have also addicted to Sirius radio, which my beautiful new car, Betsy, came with. I love the Coffee House channel (30) that plays all kinds of acoustic music. The one thing I learned though, is that some rock singers should NOT sing acoustic songs. For instance, Rod Stewart. I heard his song Roxanne the other day and I like it in his "rock" voice, but pah-leeeese, people, it was like torture listening to him sing in the acoustic style. Blech.

Yesterday in the mail, I got the results back from the stomach and small intestine biopsy. It was a form letter stating "everything looks fine." And that was it. Nothing else. Gee, thanks for spending time on my health care, you idiots! I do have a follow up appointment in August, so I will be asking a lot of questions.

And would you believe I STILL do not have any test results from my allergist appointment way back in June! I will be calling today and demanding answers.

About the pictures: These were from our trip to Deep Creek on the 4th of July weekend. During the one hour that it didn't rain all weekend, I took a walk with my camera. I love shooting into the sun and catching sun flare (like the one with the 4 wheeler...who, it just so happens, is a stranger to me!)

Weigh in: Fess up! Who has a "Crackberry" and what is your favorite feature?!?

Nifty Crackberry post! Love the TV armoire - that is gorgeous. And of course, today's pics are fabulous. I love the red car in the green field!

Hmmm...I do not have a Crackberry. I do have a Palm Pilot that I got several years ago. It is trying to die, and when I went looking for a new Palm Pilot, I found out that they are practically extinct! Smartphones, like the iPhone and Crackberry, have taken over. I will be due for my "new phone every 2 years" (per my cell contract) in October, so I'm looking at some Palm smartphones. (I'd like to stay with Palm so that I can import all the stuff from my Palm Pilot.) I'll be interested to see how it goes! Congrats on your new Crackberry!

Shhhh...I hate cell phones and therefore do not own one...but Phil has a palm pre-something and I borrow his whenever I need it.

Awesome shots. Especially the top one with the kids. I could write a story around that photo.

Oh girl you are so techy! I am due for a new cell phone, I have had the same one for 5years now. I am proud of myself, just figuring out my ipod and blog features on my computer. BTW, I did just get a new lap top...love it. I see all was not a loss at DCL, you did get outside a little bit. Love the photo of the kids in the woods. At least you biopsy came back normal, that is good news. I dont blame you for getting on the Allergist case, it can be very frustrating tying to get answeres.

First of all the photo of the hills (with the building on the far left) was amazing. It actually made me think of something from a Harry Potter movie or something. (Which we have been watching lots of around here in preparations for tomorrow.)

Second, glad to hear that the tests results have come back good. Hope that they have some answers from everything that went on in June.

I have a Blackberry. I have actually had it since May and there are still so many things I don't know how to do with it. I need to work on learning. There just never seems to be time!!

I am addicted to the Facebook and the Twitterberry applications. I am on those all of the time.

Beautiful shots....and I'm glad your getting the all-clear from at least some of the tests. Those allergists have made a mistake. Definitely call them. Oh, and I'm an iPhone girl.

Gorgeous photos! I have not entered the world of crackberries or sirius radio!

I am in the technology dinosaur age - that means I don't have any fancy toys.

But - my husband has Sirius on his Jeep (company car)....I love borrowing it for any occasion. However, by the time I search and figure out what I actually want to listen to, I've usually reached my destination!

I recongize some of those places in your photos! I am glad to hear your results from your biopsy came back fine. At least you can rule that out. We love our Sirius too! We play it through the house all weekend long - Hair Nation, especially.

I has a strawberry - love it! Lately I'm digging the geocaching app, but I also love the weather channel. :)

Love the curvy road going up and up. :)

Oh, forgot to say that I'm happy you look fine - although those form letters are just not good enough!
